Tin postal US air mail label dispenser with labels.

Manufactured by Handy Roll Company product no. 130, Oakland CA, patent no. 1408499.

Holds 100 Labels sold for 25 cents new.

Acquired on eBay 2/20/2011, $10.45 + $7.00 S&H. Great addition to my collection.

Description: This is an Old (rare) Airmail Label Dispenser, with the Airmail Labels (etiquettes) still within. The manufacturer called it  "Handy Roll", made in Oakland California from tin. The tin dispenser has a paper label affixed (not painted). It is impossible without opening the artifact to know how many labels remain inside the tin dispenser. The labels are gummed for easy use to attach to airmail envelopes. I consider this to be a great find for my collection of Airmail Etiquettes.

JPCohen - 3 cent 1847 stamp project: We continue Dr. Chase's work on the 1847 3 cent Washington stamp; offering a fresh look at this important US postal issue. This is perhaps the most collected US stamp ever issued. Currently we have over 300 reference items in our research library, our goal is to make them available here at this site. We have two plate references in progress plate 2 and 3, if you have any singles from these plates contact us today, we would like to consider an acquisition or your gift in kind.
